Since our launch at the end of August, Hector's House has been inundated with cats needing our help, which shows just how desperate the need for this service is! Please read below for a summary of the work we've done between September and December.

Our first official resident was dear boy Stitch. Stitch was a black and white Tom who had been straying in Torquay for a few months. Stitch stayed with us for a few weeks, was given vet treatment, he was neutered and loved until he was ready to be rehomed. Stitch is now loving life with his forever family!

Since Stitch, we have helped rehome the following stray cats: Tiddles, Jesse, Mr Muffington, Monty, Grace, Jasper, Basil, Oscar and Ted whilst also continuing with a high volume of outreach work.

One evening, very late, we were called out to a report of some kittens which had been abandoned in a field near Newton Abbott. With the help of our thermal imaging camera we rapidly located the kittens and another rescue was able to house them until they were ready for rehoming.

As well as rescuing, we have also managed to help reunite several missing cats with their owners. One of our volunteers was called out to a house in Ottery St Mary, and reunited a cat which had been missing for 6 weeks! In another instance, we located and reunited a beautiful Abyssinian cat with their incredibly grateful owners.

It's been an incredibly busy few months, and this is just a snap-shot, but we'd all like to say thank you to all of our supporters and we hope to continue this work and help the cats that no one else can.
